Good to know
Rather not share a boat with strangers while you look at the light art? On a private tour the boat is yours. The skipper takes you past the artworks on the canals and tells you about them along the way, in English and Dutch. You decide the pace: stop for a photo, linger at a favourite work, or take a detour through the quieter canals.
A private tour lasts 2, 2.5 or 3 hours, with room for up to 35 people. The price is per boat, including skipper and VAT, not per person. With ten people that comes to about € 42.50 per person. You board at Amsterdam Central Station or at the NEMO Science Museum.
Choose your boat, date and extras. You see the price right away, then choose: book and pay now, or request a quote first.

Built after the traditional Amsterdammertje, the tugboat designed for the Amsterdam canals. You sit on cushions at a long table, with a bar and a toilet on board.
A Light Festival evening goes well with a drink and something to eat. Our regular caterers can provide snack boards, lunch or dinner on board, or you can choose the pizza boat or pancake boat. You can also bring your own for a corkage fee.
