Mokumboot boat at the quay, ready for guests to board

Board your canal cruise at Amsterdam Central Station

Not sure where to board? With Mokumboot you always sail privately, with only your own group on board. You choose where the skipper picks you up: near Amsterdam Central Station or at the NEMO Science Museum. Would you rather board somewhere else, at your hotel or restaurant for example? That can be arranged for an extra charge.

A private canal cruise lasts 2, 2.5 or 3 hours and costs from € 425 per boat, skipper and VAT included.

Two regular boarding points

Near Central Station

Most cruises start near Amsterdam Central Station. Handy if you arrive by train or are staying in the city centre: from the station it is a short walk to the boat.

At the NEMO Science Museum

You can also board at the NEMO Science Museum, within walking distance of Central Station.

Somewhere else

Want to board at your hotel, restaurant or another spot on the water? Mention it in your request. It can be arranged for an extra charge. We will agree with you in advance exactly where the skipper will meet you.

How to get there

From Schiphol Airport

A direct train takes you from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station in about 15 to 20 minutes. Trains run frequently throughout the day.

By train, tram, metro or bus

Amsterdam Central Station is one of the best-connected transport hubs in the Netherlands. Trains arrive from all over the country, and trams, buses and the metro bring you there from anywhere in the city.

By bike or on foot

There are several bicycle parking facilities around Central Station. From the city centre, both boarding points are an easy walk.

By car

Public transport is recommended, but you can park near Central Station, for example at Q-Park on the Prins Hendrikkade or at the IJDock parking garage. Parking in central Amsterdam is expensive and can be full at busy times. You can also park on the edge of the city and continue by public transport.

Accessibility

Prams can come on board and assistance dogs are welcome. Unfortunately our boats are not wheelchair accessible. Need help stepping on board? Let us know in advance and we will think along with you.
