Good to know
King's Day, Pride and the Light Festival with only your own group on board

Rather not be on a crowded boat with strangers while the city celebrates? At Mokumboot you always sail privately during events. The boat is just for your group, and the skipper knows where it gets busy and where you get the best view.
You sail on a classic tugboat or a luxury open sloop, with room for up to 35 people. Both boats are 100% electric. On the biggest days, such as King's Day and the day of the Canal Parade, availability is limited and we work with a separate offer. Request a quote in good time.
Choose your boat, date and extras. You see the price right away, then choose: book and pay now, or request a quote first.

Sailing through Amsterdam
Sail yourself or let our skippers take you along the canals
Fleet of 80 boats
The largest electric fleet in Amsterdam.
Eco-friendly sailing
Explore the canals on a quiet, zero-emission boat.
In winter, artists from the Netherlands and abroad place light artworks along and above the canals. From the water you see them up close. On a private boat you pass the works at your own pace, while the skipper tells you about the art and the city.
In autumn and winter our boats are covered, with blankets and umbrellas on board. With up to 8 people you can also sail the light route yourself in a sloop.
During Pride Amsterdam the city turns every colour of the rainbow, with the Canal Parade as its best-known moment. On your own boat you celebrate Pride with your friends or colleagues, with space, a drink and a good view.
You don't sail in the parade itself; that's for the participating boats. Special rules apply on the water on parade day, so ask about the options in good time.
On King's Day Amsterdam turns orange and the canals fill up with partying boats. From your own boat you're right in the middle of it, without squeezing through packed streets. The tugboat has a bar and a toilet on board.
King's Day is the busiest day of the year on the water. If you want to be there with a group, request a quote well in advance.

“We had an amazing tour with a beautiful guide … definitely recommend”
“Top!”
“The best few hours spent in Amsterdam. The boats are easy to self navigate and it definately doesn’t require training or a licence. The views from the canals are so different of those one sees walking. We were asissted by Lucas and he is a gem of the entire team. Thank you, Lucas!!”
“Loved the experience and Lucas was very helpful and friendly!”
“Excellent boat, friendly staff and we had a wonderful experience overall!”
You don't need a big event to celebrate on the water. In the winter months you sail past illuminated canal houses and bridges. And whether it's a birthday, a family day or a company outing: with a private boat you choose the time and the route.
