Celebrate Pride from the water
Want to enjoy Pride Amsterdam without standing in the crowds on the quay? On your own boat you get space, a view and your own party. At Mokumboot you always sail privately: the boat is just for your group and a skipper does the sailing.
You choose a classic tugboat or a luxury open sloop, with room for up to 35 people. Both boats are 100% electric. The skipper knows the canals and knows where it gets busy and where you get a good view.
On the day of the Canal Parade, special rules apply on the water and availability is limited, so we work with a separate offer that day. Request a quote and we'll tell you what's possible for your group.
- Only your group on board
- A skipper who knows the route and the crowds
- Tugboat with bar and toilet, or open sloop
- Food and drinks on board available
- 100% electric and quiet

Pride on the canals
During Pride Amsterdam the city turns every colour of the rainbow. The best-known moment is the Canal Parade, when decorated boats with music and dancers sail through the canals and the quays are packed with people.
Pride is more than that one day. The rest of Pride week the city is in a party mood too, and it looks its best from the water. Sail past the decorated canal houses with your friends, colleagues or family, with a drink in hand and a skipper who tells you about the city in English and Dutch.
Our boats for Pride
Classic tugboat
Built after the traditional Amsterdammertje, with a long table, a bar and a toilet on board. Nice when you spend a whole afternoon on the water.
Luxury open sloop
Low on the water, with a clear view and room to walk around and dance.
Our regular caterers can provide snack boards, lunch or dinner. You can also bring your own for a corkage fee. You board at Amsterdam Central Station or at the NEMO Science Museum.
Rather sail yourself?
With a smaller group you can take the helm yourself. Rent an electric sloop for up to 8 people; you don't need a boating licence. Book early for Pride, because the sloops go fast.
