What the open boat is like
The open boat is a luxury sloop: low on the water, with no roof between you and the city. There is room to walk around, grab a drink or swap seats for a photo. The skipper takes you past the Skinny Bridge and Carré and along the Prinsengracht, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Singel, the canal ring that has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010. Want to see something specific? Just say so, you plan the route together.
Weather not playing along? In autumn and winter the boat is covered, with umbrellas and blankets on board.
Food and drinks on board
Drinks taste better on the water. Through our caterers you can order snack platters, lunch or dinner on board. Or go for the pizza boat or the pancake boat. Rather bring your own? That's fine for a corkage fee.
Boarding and practical info
You board at Amsterdam Central Station or at the NEMO Science Museum. Boarding somewhere else, such as at your hotel or restaurant, can be arranged for an extra fee. Prams are welcome and so are assistance dogs. Unfortunately the boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Rather take a tugboat?
Prefer to sit together at one long table, with a bar and a toilet on board? Then the classic tugboat is the better fit. It is also private with a skipper, for up to 35 people.

“The best few hours spent in Amsterdam. The boats are easy to self navigate and it definately doesn’t require training or a licence. The views from the canals are so different of those one sees walking. We were asissted by Lucas and he is a gem of the entire team. Thank you, Lucas!!”
