Why sail the Amsterdam canals yourself?

Amsterdam is built on water. As soon as you gently start the engine and the boat leaves the quay, you notice the difference. You hear the water lapping against the bow, see bicycles riding over the bridges and sail past facades that have been standing for centuries.

Sailing the Amsterdam canals yourself is all about freedom, experience and conviviality. You choose your own route and pace, and feel free to linger a little longer at a beautiful canal. On board, you are alone with your own company, so there are no strangers around you. Bring something to eat and drink and enjoy a relaxing moment together. From the water, you see the city in a completely different way. You sail past monumental buildings and under bridges, while it feels quieter on the water than on the street. Without a boating licence and with clear instructions, you can easily take the helm yourself.
